TRAIL MAINTENANCE DAY
Calling all volunteers to prepare trails for winter snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, to cut fallen limbs into kindling, and to identify trail hazards that require the attention of the DEC Forestry Office.
Join us in the Phillips Creek Forest parking area off State Route 244, we will dispatch crews for work on Trails 1, 2 and 3, as well as on the Beginner Trail.
The horse trails at Coyle Hill also need clearing and remarking, if our crews have enough volunteers.

NOTE: Wear sturdy boots and heavy gloves. Bring loppers and bowsaws, if you have them.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
Join your IMPACT friends at 10 AM at the Stewart Forest Road Horse Camping Area. We will be discussing our past year’s accomplishments and also what is coming up in the next year. Take a hike on Trail 4 to see the new Adirondack shelter with us!

Start the New Year right: Hike, snowshoe, or ski with IMPACT in Phillips Creek State Forest. Dress for the weather. Bring your dogs. Have fun!

There is a trail loop to suit every ability level:
Beginner (0.8 mi,),
Trail 1 (1.5 mi.),
Trail 2 (1.25 mi.)
Trail 3 (2.0 mi.).

@ Phillips Creek State Forest Entrance, State Route 244
Calling all volunteers to clear trails obstructed by winter blowdowns, to cut fallen limbs into kindling, and to identify trail hazards that require the attention of the DEC Forestry Office!
Work will commence at 9 AM in the parking area of Phillips Creek Forest located off State Route 244. From there, crews will be sent out to maintain Trails 1, 2, and 3, in addition to the Beginner Trail.

NATIONAL TRAILS DAY
9 aM to Noon
Celebrate National Trails Day, June 6, with a 6-mile morning hike! Starting at 9:00 AM at the State Route 244 entrance to Phillips Creek State Forest we will hike Trail 3 (east) to Trail 4, stop at the new Beaver Pond Overlook Adirondack shelter, constructed by Andover School students, then continue on Trail 4 to Trail 6 and back to Route 244 Parking Area. We should be back by noon.
Be aware: The last leg of the hike on Trail 6 has a short scramble up a rocky section of trail.
No pre-registration is needed for this hike. Hope to see you there!
