EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

PRESIDENT Glenn Gebhard is a retired Hornell Intermediate School teacher. He serves on the Swain Ski Patrol and on the Allegany State Park Nordic Ski Patrol. He also serves as an Outdoor Emergency Care Instructor and Senior OEC trainer/examiner, as well as Instructor Development Team member.

VICE PRESIDENT Ed Schultz is a coordinator with People, Inc. in Allegany County.

SECRETARY Heather Wakeley is a U.S. Postal Service clerk, currently working in the Scio office. Spending time in the woods has been one of her greatest joys since childhood. Since 2022, she has been a co-farmer with Open Farms of Springville, NY, where she cares for rescued animals, designs and builds structures, works in gardens, and collects donations from the public.

TREASURER Nicole Munkwitz is an Instructor and Technician, Division of Environmental Studies and Geology at Alfred University.

OTHER DIRECTORS

Joe Dosch has a degree in Mechanical Engineering but has spent the last phase of his career building custom furniture and signs. He is an active member of AE Crandall Ambulance of Alfred, Chairperson of the Alfred Village Board of Appeals, and a board member of the Genesee Valley Habitat for Humanity. He has been an avid downhill skier since the late 1950's but currently concentrates on cross country skiing. Summertime finds him bicycling or working in his vegetable garden.

Nate Forster is the owner of Nathan Forestry, LLC. He has done contract work for more than ten years with the US Forest Service, including forest inventories, tree-stand exams, and stocking surveys, working primarily in the Allegheny National Forest. He has a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. He is an avid mountain biker, cross-country skier, and builder of mountain bike trails.

Isabel Montes is a student at Alfred State College, where she is Treasurer of the Camping and Hiking Club. She has seven years of non-profit volunteering experience with a range of environmental and community groups.

Gail Richardson is a retired nonprofit executive with four decades of experience working in several sectors: with irrigation farmers to preserve soil and water resources; with waste managers to recycle organic wastes into fuel and fertilizer; and with teachers and researchers on projects to improve early childhood programs and elementary mathematics education.

COORDINATOR

Pauline Burnes, one of IMPACT’s founders is a Registered Landscape Architect. She is the current President of the New York State Horse Council, Inc. In 2023 she served as the Genesee Valley Trail Town Coordinator, with the Friends of the Genesee Valley Greenway, Inc. and ten Genesee Valley Trail Towns.
